You are invited to the Stalingrad Shootout

The Stalingrad shootout is a multifaceted shooting competition in which contestants will compete with firearms typical of those used by the Soviets and Germans on the eastern front of WW2, with a strong emphasis on the Mosin-Nagant rifle.

 

The shooting scenarios are based on historic events or events portrayed in movie scenes of WW2 films such as Enemy at The Gates. The Competition will have multiple events based on class, accuracy, and time as well.

Classes/Firearms: 


Bolt Action: bolt action Mosin Nagant 91/30 or Mauser 8mm (open sights) 


Pistol: Tokarev 7.62x25


Sniper: Bolt Action Mosin Nagant 91/30 with PU 3.5 scope


Firearms and ammunition will be for rent and sale if you don't have them already for the competition. (All laws apply)


The firearms must be original or replica, no archangel stocks, synthetic stocks, or modified triggers and bolts.


Prizes: Competitors will receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes based on class group and event. Prizes include medals, ribbons, t-shirts, gift cards, firearms and door prizes.

Vendors: The event will have concession stands and firearms vendors. If you would like to be a vendor call 409-679-2177. (All state and federal laws apply!)


Some of the events will involve shooting from the kneeling, prone, and standing position. If you have a physical disability let the range safety officer know, so we can modify the stage for you.

What to bring: One of the firearms as listed above. If you don't have one, you can buy or rent at the event.  

Eye and Ear Protection

If competing, no open toe shoes please.


400 rounds of rifle ammo

300 rounds of handgun ammo


Upon arrival at the event, please have all firearms unloaded and clear until on a firing line and instructed to load.

Any unsafe act will result in possible time penalties, point deduction, or being kicked out of the event or location without refund.

Follow all firearms safety rules:

1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction
2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
4. Know your target and what is beyond it
