ATF investigating blast that leveled Willis home; 3 critically injured

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- An explosion and fire was reported at a home north of Conroe early Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the explosion leveled a one-story home. It happened in the 5500 block of Mandy Lane in Willis sometime before 5 a.m.


Two Life Flight helicopters were called to the scene and took patients to the hospital around 6 a.m. Three people were listed in critical condition, authorities said.
